The care paradigm for hepatitis C has recently shifted. This activity helps ensure healthcare practitioners, including hepatologists, gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, public health experts, addiction specialists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, are up to date on the current treatment recommendations. The goal is to enhance the ability to identify HCV infection and expand access to simplified treatment.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will implement guidelines for simplifying HCV DAA therapy regimens, apply minimal monitoring approaches for HCV treatment, and utilize best practices for expanding the HCV treater base. Available credits include physicians, up to 0.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s); ABIM diplomates, up to 0.50 ABIM MOC points; nurses, 0.50 ANCC contact hour(s) (includes 0.25 pharmacology contact hours); and IPCE, 0.50 interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) credit.
