HoChong Gilles, DNP, FNP-BC, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in biology, Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, and master’s in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University. She obtained her doctorate degree in nursing practice from the University of Virginia in 2018. With over 25 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in hepatology, she serves as the Clinical Program Director for the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division and Assistant Director of GI Research in Richmond, Virginia. Her clinical and research interests include viral hepatitis, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, portal hypertension, and hepatocellular carcinoma. She is an associate fellow of the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease.
